A parametric bench that attractively complements the riverside area in Radeče
The installation of the Savus 360° bench along the promenade at the TRC Savus in the timber raft port addresses the recognized need to upgrade the river area in Radeče with new attractions and content. The bench offers visitors the opportunity to comfortably enjoy the beautiful natural scenery that surrounds it.
Combining elements of design and woodwork in the production of this unique piece of urban equipment has brought an added value to the area that is difficult to measure. It is reflected mainly in the usability and increased attractiveness of the area, which is of key importance for both locals and visitors, led to our municipality by the desire for new experiences.
The bench was created as part of the Po-Savski rečni turizem project, co-financed by the European Union from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and the Republic of Slovenia within the Operational Program for the Implementation of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund in 2014-2020.
What do your eyes see?
The bench is designed so that you can admire the surrounding views from all sides while sitting on it. At the same time, with its versatility, the bench reminds you of the natural shapes found on our Mother Earth at every step. The beginning of the bench represents the confluence of the Sopota and Sava rivers, its shape the flow of the Sava river, the gentle meandering between the Posavje hills, its pristine playfulness and the occasional wild nature. Attentive eyes, when looking at the bench, also find the outline of a fish and much more.
