A valuable insight into the local past

The Ključevšek Farm, located in the village of Počakovo, houses an impressive collection of 1,400 artifacts that speak to the ingenuity, self-sufficiency, and resilience of local agricultural ancestors. The collection features hours, antique sewing machines, intricately crafted chandeliers, household tools, farm equipment and tools, artisan tools, and much more. This invaluable contribution enhances our understanding of the past and reveals much about rural life of that era, when farms made their own clothing and footwear and were responsible for their own food ...

From Idea to Ethnological Collection

The main activity of the Ključevšek Farm—locally known as Gregor's Farm—primarily focuses on livestock farming. The owners not only share a passion for agriculture and a love for animals but also possess a unique sense of responsibility for preserving the local heritage. Thus, the idea of an ethnographic representation of past village life has blossomed into an ethnological collection after years of systematic and dedicated artifact gathering.
